At SINERGI, we have flexible policies for self-archiving and license forms that outline the provisions for depositing in repositories. In addition to our online archives and the author's institutional repository, there is an alternative repository for all open-access published papers available through our partner, MyJournal. This repository is managed by the Malaysian Citation & Informetrics Centre (MIC) (formerly known as the Malaysian Citation Centre (MCC), Department of Higher Education, Ministery of Higher Education of Malaysia.

Our self-archiving policies allow for Green open access, which can fulfil specific funder mandates. If requested, and subject to further discussion with the UKM Press and the Editor-in-Chief's decision, we can offer 12-month restrictive embargoes (Red open access).

Authors with a funder mandate that requires depositing in a repository after 12 months can comply by publishing in a 12-month embargo journal. However, authors whose funder mandates deposition in under 12 months must publish their paper under an open-access license to meet their funder or funders' requirements. If you have any questions about complying with funder mandates, please don't hesitate to contact us at SINERGI.
